Mission Statement

The Mission of the Melrose Park Public Library is to:

• Enable our patrons to explore their personal heritage and enhance cultural awareness of others.
• Assure that our community finds the library to be an institution which provides professional and thoughtful service in a demographically changing environment.
• Promote library programs and services through partnerships with schools and community-wide leadership.
• Ensure that our facility is adequate for library services and programs.
• Obtain and provide materials that demonstrate this commitment, and provide a facility that enhances lifelong learning.
