Cinco de Mayo Art Contest

This April, we asked what Cinco de Mayo means to you. In response, the following seven images were submitted, each symbolizing an aspect of Mexican-American heritage. 

 

Changes in Loan Policy

Beginning May 1st, the Melrose Park Public Library will be loaning videos for a three-week period, regardless of format or content. You can  check-out DVDs or blu-rays, feature films or documentaries, new and old for 21 days from our library!!! Choose from our extensive collection, or request an item from another library. 

Teen Book Club Happenings

April's Teen Book Club meeting was a success! We made duct tape pouches and discussed Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson and The Young Elites by Marie Lu. Everyone decided that these were both books worth reading!

Teen Poetry Open Mic

Don't forget-our Poetry Open Mic Night is coming up! Hang out in our transformed basement “café” for Open Mic Night to celebrate National Poetry Month. Read your own poetry, your favorite author’s, or just come in to relax, enjoy some snacks and listen! Grades 7-12.
