Junk Drawer Jewelry
Want to learn how to make jewelry in a new innovative way? Ever wonder what to do with the odd and ends around your house? Well, we’re going to combine leftover beads and metal fixtures to make some incredible necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Teens in grades 6-12 are welcome to attend. Registration is required.

Tween Book Discussion
It’s time to get together to discuss a great book with your friends, plus do an activity and have a snack. Make sure to read your book ahead of time -- see the Youth Services desk if you need a copy of the book. For grades 3-6. Registration is required.

Tween Craft
Ready to try some harder crafts? Come to tween crafts where we’ll do our best to make some seriously special crafts just for tweens. This program is for tweens in grades 3-6 and registration is required.

Lego Challenge
Join us as we compete in Lego building competitions. For tweens in grades 3-6. Registration is required.

Tween Cooking
Put on your chef’s hat – it’s time to cook! Learn how to make some delicious treats. For tweens in grades 3-6 and registration is required. (We need to know how many ingredients to buy.)

monthly/bi-monthly programs

Teen Book Club is a monthly book discussion group. There are two different kinds of TBC here at Melrose Park. We alternate between a themed book club and a book club where teens receive their own copies of the same book. This program is for teens in 6th through 12th grade. Registration is required.

Get Graphic is a monthly group devoted to comics, manga, and anime. We'll be discussing what you've been reading, getting a sneak peek at what the library's been ordering, drawing, eating, and watching some anime. Grades 6th through 12th are invited to come and registration is required.
